Prep list for a first timer basically

@GreenJewels. Thanks that article is great!!!
I was reading a ton a while ago and then I was thinking, why not try autos, look for something interesting and I saw this

Which was all I needed to read lol, so I ordered a few seeds… then… I dropped on the 20 for 420 Girl Scout Cookie extreme
I have about 8 weeks left for my round one ladies, the way I have it roughly figured is if the autos show up this week, I germinate and put in a container in like 2 weeks I can start them in my small tent for a few weeks then move them into the big tent and they will finish up a bit after I harvest this first grow… well that’s the hope anyhow… downside is that right now I have like zero bud at all and nobody I usually go to has any due to this virus… not to mention none of my old California friends is comfortable sending me stuff so… I suppose I wait. Whatever…
Also thinking about testing the idea of planting in the garden outside…

That does sound delicious be sure to tag me if you do grow it and journal it.
Sounds like you’ve got a good plan. Starting the perpetual grow.
That really sucks your out. Its way to stressful right now to not have some good smoke to relax you.
Make sure you research good mold resistant strains. If I remember right, your in the same state as I am. It’s humid all summer.

I would do four in that size tent . I have grown some autos that have gotten big enough to fill a 3x3 tent with one plant and I think every one I have grown would have filled a 2x2 space. Autos are faster start to finish but not by much. I did best with 18/6 light cycle and LST . Most harvests were between 5 to 10 oz. Per plant .

Those are pretty lofty numbers… I’d be so happy with any plant throwing more than 2 oz my way… I actually have no idea what to expect from my current grow… between the 3 if there is 6-8 oz I’m all good lol

I grow in hydro now, when I was growing in soil I hovered around the 5 oz. In hydro I tend to land between 8 and 10 but I struggled to keep my plants happy in soil.

Coming along nicely! Keep up the good work!

The only thing that is bugging me is the purple haze and bergmans are so short in comparison, I wish they had gotten taller… I figure since they are on day 52 this might be tall as they get… now I just hope for super fat dense buds

If it makes you feel any better some of my best yealds came off some of my shortest plants. The light is strongest at the top of the plant so if all the plant is close to the light the buds are nice on all the plant the tall plant will get a nice cola on top but the further down the smaller and loser the buds will be.

Jumped into the tent this morning and resnugged my lst lines since everything was feeling crowded. I’ve been tucking the big fan leaves out of the way so the buds are getting the majority of the light now… haven’t asked much but is this easier than stressing the plant by clipping them??? I got mad foliage yo!!!

Anyhow… while in the tent I noticed it was smelling sweeter like literally fruity… which is super cool, I am starting to see the light of the work… next up is to start tracking my bud sites and wonder if I should start using the nutrients I purchased… I have used the open sesame 3 x total and I’m hoping that the beastie bloom and the cha Ching are useful/helpful in stacking these buds… gimmie all your thoughts!!!

Hope y’all are age, healthy and kind

With my plants I pull the leaves off that are in my way as long as I can get to the stem of the leaf but when the buds are getting fat pulling leaves out of the bud would be I’ll advised as it can lead to bud rot if your humidity is not in check

@Gardenguy so my humidity is pretty steady at 56-58 I can turn up my dehumidifier but I worry about the tent getting too dry… I have long since removed all my water bowls to add humidity for early growth and veg

Strike that it’s at 47

Your buds are not too far yet judging by your last pictures you should be fine to pluck leaves once you go six or seven weeks from flip the buds will be covering some of the stems then I wouldn’t pull any more. I normally do most of my defoliation at the end of the three week stretch which is about when the budlets show up . After a couple grows you will know what you want gone before they get any further along than that

@dbrn32 … I’m looking at Horticulture Lighting Group 320 Watt XL V2 R Spec Quantum Board DIY … I feel like I need something better on the r spec side of things … I mean I’d love something I can take from Veg to Flower but what are your thoughts?
