1st ILGM grow - Superskunk(fem)

Bud time! Can’t wait to see daily updates on this one.

You can even see a difference in ‘sugar’ disbursement between the two. So I wonder if you get quicker flowers on plants that veg longer.

Seeing more pistils, so the lights-out pic today should be cool. I don’t post everything, but I have been trying to get a pic each morning just before lights on, and each evening at lights out. Neat to see the progression, both during the course of the day, and through the night.

Got some toys in the mail. 7gal pot for the next grow, and a bigger caddy. Ran out of Happy Frog though, had to order another bag. Filled 2/3 with OF, then made a pot-size shape in the middle (pushed the dirt to the edges) then filled with HF. sifted peat, and a mix with HF for solo-cupping.

Got my tent too, more to follow. I want to see if that little USB fan will adapt to the exhaust hose or if I’ll need to buy a fan.

I think this will be perfect for veg, but 7-10gal pot will be the max.

Hahah nice! Can’t wait to see your grow grow

I love that little tent. I’m going a single 5 gallon with SCROG in there. Now let’s see if they actually ship out my freaking light today!

Thinking about it, If I got bored I could definitely do a SOG out of clones in there. Put about 8-10 clones in 3-gallon pots and see what happens.

if you’re doing 8-10 plants in a 20"x36", I don’t think you need a net. You’ve effectively filled the entire space with canopy by just letting them grow up. Just do a very short veg cycle on the 8-10 and you’ll be swimming in it.

SCROG is meant to maximize yield when using less plants with not much space. You don’t want to just let them grow straight up through the net, you want to keep tucking the new growth under the net then let the buds grow up through the net once the stretch is done.

I’m sure you already know all of this, but fun to talk about anyways. By the way, it’s beer thirty for me, so cheers :beers:

Look up SOG. Lots of clones, no scrog, less maintenance and, from what I understand, it’s a 'get a quick ounce or two out of each short plant with one main top cola" type of grow.

So check it out! I spent about 5 minutes trying to get the hose over the fan. Exact same size, no joy. Lightbulb! I got a casino-cup (from Seneca Falls if you must know  ) removed the bottom, and the taper was perfect!

A little foil tape holding the hose to the cup, then holding the cup to the fan.
I now know I can put as many of these in as I need to get the heat out.

Since I’m only doing this for veg, I’m not that worried about smell. I smoke a bong in my house. I don’t think it will make much difference if the cops roll in LOL

Well done @Whodat66 :+1:

Yeah, I agree, there is a point at which it doesn’t matter. Some actually do get kinda stinky even in veg, but it’s the good kinda stink so I say if you can, let it roll.

I’m curious to know if that little fan can handle that for long. I do love the design and have two of them now thanks to your posts. Just as I mentioned before, wish they were still available in white.

I have other fans, a 3’ box fan, a 8" 3-speed that moves some air, lots of options. I may try one in the closet tomorrow just to see. If I play with anything like that I start early so I can have the whole day to adjust it or fix it or whatever.

Maybe since there is no fan on the light it will help this time, but the exhaust fan seems to be working, and disturbing that ‘synchronicity’ is all I’m worried about.

I get what you have going, with an inline vent at the bottom, the light heat sync at the top of the light and the exhaust fan pulling out from the top for the space…

Random question for you: When you turn the fan on the high setting, does the backing vibrate like crazy?

I haven’t had that issue. The base will click around to different positions, click it a few times then see.

Well, that little fan can’t handle the 1200w blurple. Temp shot up to 85 fast, quick, and in a hurry so I just shut everything down. Since I would have had to buy a new fan for a plant-blower anyway, I’ll just get an exhaust fan that moves some cfm.

While I was messing around (knowing I wanted as much ventilation as possible), I came up with these out of a busted vertical blind slat, some foil tape, and some window screen.
