Using coco in a flood and drain table how full to flood table?

A friend wants to cut down on his expenses and need advice

Coco may hold too much water. I recommend clay pellets. @Bogleg may have a better insight.

Haven’t tried it. I do think it would work, just would mean less frequent floods.

Tks guys :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::facepunch: , yeah I agree I used to use lava rock yrs ago it’s nice to drain completely and no doubt uses less nutes per watering. I have been playing w perlite mixes as well, a well established grower I chat w holding high 30s and low to mid 40% (thc) on his crops has me convinced that 50-65% perlite is the ideal mix for coco softcore hydro as he calls it . treat just like hydroton . His numbers are insane and he’s always happy to chat , solid advice I can only assume
