Well I figured this is a good place as any to talk compost. So I have been flipping my compost pile every week or two. I have noticed it looks like there are fungus gnats crawling all through the piles when I flip. I have to try and capture one to see. I have done composting in the past with mostly grass clippings and leaves. The compost smells good and is breaking down nicely but the bugs I am seeing has me concerned. I would like to try and use it as a tea but wasn’t sure about the bugs.
