Hlg 260 xl height for seedling?

I know roughly what seedlings need from my mars hydro 1000 using par values but the 260 xl acts way different and there’s less info available particularly for early growth so I was thinking 30 in with the dimmer at the 1/4 mark and adjust as necessary but im open to experiences from this light during seedling stage

I wondered the same thing. This is what the company said:

30 inch at minimum dim (90-100 watts) would be fine for the first couple weeks, then either lower light or raise watts as needed to avoid seedling stretching.
