I like that you showed the wilt from needing water. Maybe that will help someone having problems with a watering schedule.

I’m often bad about being on the verge of drowning my girls, it seems. I added more perlite this season hoping to counteract me loving them to death. Lol

A well established plant can actually benefit from a periodic wilt I think. All plants experience dry spells in nature…

Hahahahaha …thanks everyone, I’ve been looking at pics of all your beautiful buds and I’ve been so eager for some of my own hahahahaha Last week I had myself almost convinced that I’d done some kind of irrepairable harm to her and she was never going to flower…ever! Hahahahahahaha Sometimes I’m my own worst energy.

@highcountrygal … back is much better today, but I’m being very cautious. I lost a full week of spring work and now I’m way behind…oh well, I’m so glad to be able to stand up and walk. I’ll do what I can and the rest will just have to go undone. That’s how this place gets shaggy.

And You??? You got banged up pretty good on that bucking bronc. Hope you are the uphill trail.

Yes @FloridaSon, around here plants are apt to experience dry times now and again for sure. Good for them to know that ‘this too shall pass’

I try to err on the side of draught rather than flood. But I learned that lesson many decades ago as a fledgling gardener. I’ve drowned more than my share of little ones for sure.

I agree with @FloridaSon. I purposely skip a day here and there to stress my girls on purpose. They can benefit from a little stress once in a while.

Yep, this is what we did on the farm. Let them have a good wilting once in a while, it hardens them off. That’s why you should let them dry out between waterings.

You should try to start your own thread. No one will see you here.

Haven’t seen any of these yet here this year. My eyes are on the lookout. Got my BT at the ready.

WillaJ looks good. She and I are both loving the warm and sunny days.

What is the size of it? Hard to know scale of moth to be looking for…

That one looks like it could come from a tomato horn worm. Going by the coloration anyway…

This is the little bastard. It’s not a looper but a cabbage rapae butterfly. Just as bad.

I think I saw one of those once when I was younger. Aren’t they really big? If we did and it’s the same my friend and I were shocked how big it was. His mom didn’t even know what it was. I could be wrong though and saw a different kind of moth. Have a nice evening everybody
