Second Grow White Widow Inside using soil

I might also point out, that the calyxes are still white, when they darken the brachs or seed pods will grow(there is not seeds in them), this is when you watch the tricomes, depending on what kind of effect you want. Just remember that sativas and indicas do have some different qualities and even if the trics are dark a sativa will still want to make you go out and do stuff, while an indica will just relax and couch lock you more.

@Kapelady
Hey there neighbor John from Worcester here been watching your grow with much interest as we have same strain and I am right behind you in timing…
Your ladies look great. I have already started my second grow so I can move plants into the tent as soon as I harvest in a month or so
I did try a bud last night dried it in the oven and it tasted good but wouldn’t stay lit too green I guess here’s a pic of mine from last week

Keep growing

Woweeee!! That’s incredible, I really need autos. Those look beautiful! I’ve decided to get another small tent for $50 and put in spare room, has good air ventilation and even AC. The other tent can continue to veg and I can move the girls that are ready for flower so I can keep an eye on them and won’t be so humid. Today my tent went to 96 percent. Started those nutes but don’t even think they need it yet but at least they have some. Going to check on them now. Congrats!! You should be proud. As far as cutting/harvesting, I’m the wrong girl to ask, I have too many questions about flowering and the harvest. They just look great in my book, can taste it now! I’m going for a whiff of my girls now, lol :joy:

You will find that they will put more bulk on and new white hairs or calyxes will form…those will lead to more dense buds. heat and humidity will be your only enemies.

Great job, @Kapelady. Are you looking at Trichromes?
It’s hard to tell under that lighting but it looks like you still have pistils.

Your girls look great! What material is your scrog? Just two plants… I wonder if I can do it with three. I got another tent 32x32x60 should be small and big enough for three biggest plants during flower, etc. What’s happening now, you’re just waiting for trichomes? Then clear…then milkyresin and resin to turn amber, right?

They look wonderful, you are getting close to that harvest, probably two more weeks.

@Kapelady @bonnie1
Hey I love watching her grow because I have the same strain and I’m just behind you in age
I had six plants and a 4 x 4 tent I need of some room so I harvested one of my plants last week. It is wonderful! I am waiting two or three more weeks until late harvest the others
Bonnie I love listening to all your questions You ask some of the same questions that I have
The experts answers to your questions have been very helpful to me

Hey… Patsbasement, how are you? I have 6 plants too! Tell me how you harvested one of your plants early. I need room also but I bought another tent! Lol can’t wait for my own weed. I definitely ask a lot of questions :joy::joy: and will be needing more help soon. The humidity is around 70 but temp is 89, it definitely gets hot in that garage. The tent with AC should work well for flowering stage. How old was plant you harvested, was it good? I need some weed!! :grimacing:

@bonnie1…believe it or not cheap potting soil. Yes, I believe they should be cut soon as the hairs on most of the plants are red. You can’t really see the color of the hairs but believe me they are that reddish brown color. Plus the plants are dying …losing leaves. So yup I think it is almost time!

@alteredmindset …sooner…the pictures don’t really show the color of the hairs…they are all red on one plant and the other is catching up!

@Kapelady… hey, need to know you’re curing method. How you cut, hang, and dry your weed. Real curious about that. I haven’t gotten to setting up second tent, will have it by weekend. Your scrog looks metal. I’m getting one for the 3 biggest plants but again, don’t know what I’m doing. Everyone’s been so helpful though! Finally got a big bag of weed, midiocre, but better than nothin. Getting really excited, need patience. You’re lucky to be on your second grow! :grimacing:

I go by the tricombs, the hairs will change no matter what. My one plant had about a 50/50 red to white hair ratio. The tricombs were a frosty white. I have them hung for about five days so far. I will wait a few more days until they are drier. My other girls are still growing and the buds have become so heavy that the branches are bending. I know you will harvest when you think it is time, I would wait a little longer, it will pay off.

@bonnie1…yes my “scrog” is just one of the shelves that came with the tent! Now, when they are ready (which is going to be very soon) I cut the stems and cut off the big leaves and then hang it from that shelf right inside the tent with the light out and a tarp over the whole tent to keep the light out. Make sure you check that it is not too humid in the tent; on the other hand you want the drying process to go slowly - not too fast! Keep them in the dark hanging for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks then you can cut the buds from the stem and put in a glass jar…again keep it in the dark and cool for one month. Make sure you open the jar every day and check to make sure there is no mold and move the buds around…do not over crowd the jar!

So even after cutting, drying, and hanging for 2 wks it still takes another month? So after the plants are ready it takes another month and 2 wks before I can smoke any!! Damn, this takes a long time! Right now I have some ragweed I paid too much for and it’s making me cough. I already have two nice jars and picking up 2 more…just want to be prepared. Really don’t like how long this takes but once I get through my first grow, I’ll be like you and have too much, yeah right! Thanks for sharing Kapelady, very helpful :grimacing: You’re waiting will be over soon :+1::herb::seedling:

@bonnie1…I started using mine before the month was up…a little harsh but as the weeks went it became much better. So you can cheat a little! Yes, after this grow is finished I’m taking a break from growing because I will have too much! So nice to be able to say that!
