Yea, I’m gonna smoke and go back out and adjust the lights. As far as light proofing, because it’s in my garage, and I run autos, I turn the lights out in their little cubby grow area and then the only light comes through the windows on the opposite side, that’s why I have a tarp up on the opposite side in that pic. Help block light in and out. And I run a 20/4 light cycle. So when it’s starting to get dark outside at 6 I cut them off and turn on at 10. Tonight I did early to get stuff plugged up cuz I found an extension cord I forgot I had.
That should all work fine right? Keep it dark enough when need be.

Why not paint the back wall with some flat white latex?

I have a roll of mylar. Just didn’t put it up right now. Wanted the ladies to stretch their legs. They were all bunched up. So I moved them. The cinderblocks behind them seem to reflect okay for right now. Lol.

The next grow I’m probably only doing 1 veg 1 flower and I plan on upgrading that area a little by then, i.e. the mylar on the wall, I’ll have metal plant stands with wheels for them to sit on. All sorts of little upgrades. Like I’ve slowly already been doing. Lol.

Got you…I desired to go with the paint just so I could easily spray with bleach and wipe after each grow to make it easier. the paint is just as good as Mylar from what I’ve read as far as reflections and I felt as though it’s cleaner looking. $20 is cheap to me for something that’s easy to maintain for longevity.

I feel ya. Ya, I got the roll of mylar for like 20. I’ll have to tape it up or something. But I’ll wipe down after each grow and stuff. I’m definitely gonna need to start reading up on bud washing. A lot of dort in my garage. I try to sweep and stuff to keep it clean, and they arent completely cut off from the rest of the garage. So I’m gonna need to clean. Isn’t it just, a wet trim (or do you not need to trim?) and then some distilled water and like a teaspoon of peroxide, and then just dip and drag through the water slowly and gently and then hang to dry, right?

go with the mylar. you wont know until you try it. if its too much of a pain go to the paint like @Ocean said. why make more work for yourself. i did both. paint is easier but mylar is cool, until it wrinkles and gets crap all over it.

I dont care if it wrinkles. Lol. As long as it’s still reflective. But I’ll probably use windex and wipe it down after grows.

Thanks for the advice though guys! And gal!

I’ll figure it out. The cinderblocks are reflective a little right now. So I’ll worry the next grow. Lol. I need to get some DE down around that area to keep more bugs away now that I’m thinking about it… sucks my garage is basically a roof and cinderblocks but not completely sealed. But then again, I guess some of those outdoor conditions help me save money and not have to get things like a humidifier. Just a dehumidifier lol.

Yea, as said before because of it, I’m definitely going to have to do a bud wash. Mandatory. Everything else for me should be. For the most part okay. I barely get bugs and when I do they’re gons fast. Although I had a frog last night who I couldn’t grab and he disappeared. Lol. But my leaves dont even look nibbled on… I keep an eye for that exact reason. But you see my ladies. They’re great.

I’m trying. Lol. It’s a lot of work and time. I’m smoking right now and then I gotta go out and work on the lights and measuring their height and distance from each other. Still gotta figure that out. Working it out in my head right now. Lol.

@wizdumboriginal I forgot to tag you earlier. My bad.

Should be fine

I found an extension cord I forgot I had with 3 plugs on it. So it’s all good now.
