Im sure it could be used to some extent, but probably not all by itself and probably not most ideal npk for stand alone nutrient solution. But right amount, mixed with the right stuff, at the right time, and you could use just about anything.

I used 5-50-17 back in the day. Good for early flower it really stacks in the bud sets. Peter’s Brand I believe it was. We used it at an orchid farm.
