What are you using as a base soil? Is it pro mix with mushroom compost and black cow all mixed together? If so, how much of each? Thanks for your time, always loved your grows!
Can’t wait to see a grow with ilgm’s new gelato strain! I’ve gotta jump on that 10 free seeds offer, immediately! I’ve heard great things about gelato seeds from other breeders but I’m willing to bet ilgm gelato will be amazing!
That is exactly the way plus other amendments are added. Here this is better:
I’ll be using this recipe. and mixing it in a small concreat mixer and make a pile of it till I have enough for what I need
I mix all the flower soil separate so i’ll have two piles…Flower soil go’s in first then the veg soil on top
very simple.
1/8 Recipe
1 1.5 cubic ft bag of Roots Organics
3.125 to 6.25 lbs of organic worm castings
.625 lbs or 5/8 lbs or 10 ounces steamed bone meal

Pulling the trigger on that one myself
When are you starting you next grow ? It would be interesting for both of us to jump in each others journal
Here’s mine: Here I grow again on my own! SS fem #2
I’m already watching yours. Started a new journal a couple weeks ago. Seedling was born on 9/11.
UPDATE…
The seed’s will be started Oct 27 2018 at 6:00 pm
If all go’s right their little heads should be popping through the soil on Nov 1st
Ya that’s the day of my surgery lol
I’ll also be growing some seeds that I found in a storage unit I bought…ya sure did, so we’ll see what happen’s with them should be interesting.
See ya all soon
Good luck with grow and surgery. Hope for a speedy recovery.
Thank You for that Erinie…I gotta have something to do while I recover from the surgery. So I figure why not a grow to help me to keep buzzy.
Good thinking. For me keeping busy is really helpful for my mental stability. I sit too long and I start thinking and then that’s what gets me in trouble
That’s to funny, cause that’s exactly what happens when I start thinking for to long…lol
For some steange reason…seems we all think alike. Not a bad thing! Looking at your recipe @garrigan62 1/8 at the top??? Good luck for a speedy recovery from that bad shoulder. Glad you have something to keep you focused. Getting cold here in MA. Not sure where you may be, but best wishes.
I grew up in Norwell, Mass it’s down off of rt. 3 heading toward the Cape.
I am now in East Tn. just north of Knoxville. Via Seattle for 34 years…
Yes it is @Drillbit,
And how much all depends on the size of the pot being used. This grow I’em using 15 gal containers.
Yikes man. You get around. Im a lifer in MA. Living in Abington, about 20 minutes from Norwell. @garrigan62
Says 1/8 Recipe??? Why 15 gal. Containers?
Wow you wouldn’t believe how many times I walked from Norwell to Brockton walking through Abington and my dad worked for the Anderson’s who lived across from that lake on 139 and sold Insulation that my father put in for them for over 35 years. We had a road side stand and sold corn, tomatoes and all kinds of vegge’s and pumpkins. You very well may know me. You Think…lol
What a small world we live in. By the way I used to hang out in Rockland Center down town where the drugs poured like water back in the 70s
The answer to your question is… the bigger the pot the bigger the plant which increases your yeild
And I use a larger amount of ingredants
@garrigan62
A small world it is. I am positive i got pumpkins with my kids from your stand. Lived in Whitman for 31 years. Whats with the 1/8 recipe man. 1/8??? Going from 10 to 15 gal will do what? Thank you BTW. I use promix. Good enough for veg??? Thinking flower soil under promix. Is that the plan?
Yes, i use something just like pro mix just made by a different company.
And i do use it for vegg and flower.
I’ll post the 1/2 and full recipe for ya when i get back on my computer. Ok
