Why such a difference?

Hi I am just wondering if there is something I have done to cause this plant to have such small bud sites as it’s brother has these nice big buds developing and it seems to have a lot of buds but very small… they are both in week 8 since germination and are both gorilla glue autos and have been grown in FFOF and both have received almost identical amounts of nutrients… any help would be much appreciated or even just an explanation as to what is going on and if they will eventually get to a “regular” size

I’ve studied your photos looking for any deficiency. I couldn’t see any. They are both health looking plants.

The smaller one appears to be quite happy, but the one in question, shows signs of stress. Lots of 3 leaf, fans on it. Also, they are droopy.

Not all plants from seed are alike. They express different phenos, and they will eat and drink different amounts. I think it comes down to this.

Difference in height could play a pivotal role here. Different heights and the amount of light each receives, would come into play. This is only my educated guess.

Measure the distance from the light to the smaller one. Then, try raising the pot of the smaller plant, so the tops of each are at the same height. Then adjust the light up to the same distance it was at from before you raised the smaller plant. Ie. same canopy height and same distance from light.

So these are sisters not brothers
Female plants grow buds and male plants grow pollen sacks…

But its genetic that make them look different, just like human sisters or a bunch of puppys. They can look completely different, short, tall, fat, skinny even different colors like shades of skin…

The one having larger buds sites is because it started flowering first, they was once small also.

The different characteristics a plant displays like size, color, smell, taste, and shape is referred to as a pheno type.

That being said, Gorilla Glue auto by ILGM is known to have a gigantic pheno type and i believe you hit the jackpot with the big long lanky one my freind

That plant will be a big eater and them limbs will need supported up once it gets going…

I had one do this and it gave me a little over 1lb from the one plant :flushed:

I was just busting you chops

But my one Gorilla glue that did this was way behind the other 2 i started at same time.
I thought something was wrong with it because the others was well on their way it just keot getting biger and more bushy.
But omfg! When it finally started full flowering, it was useing crazy amounts of water and it got nutrient deficiency and i had to feed it alot more then the others.

That’s my grow journal with the GG I had do this if ya want check it out.

Yup! That top plant looks great!Last years crop of Gorilla Glue was a knockout for me! great taste and potent too! I grow outdoors so the amount of light is the same as all of them are in the same location…Like the guys said it could be just phenos doing their thing…genetics is weird sometimes…It almost looks as though the top bushy one has the Indica thing going and the bottom thin tall one has a Sativa thing…? @1HappyPappy Or they could be trans-gendered or Identify as…? just saying

Scientifically speaking, only 3 options here.

First timer here and planted one too many in a small tent. I thought maybe if i chucked one it would give me more room for the others. Figured i wouldn’t get much off the WW because it looked so larfy and popcorny. Glad i didnt though. Actually decided against it because of recommendations from the forum.
