Why is My nutrients ph so low?

I’m here trying to mix nuts for my 37 day plant and the ph keeps coming up to this
I mixed less than the amount advised by the company and i don’t have any ph up liquid to add to this, any advice?, please

You must raise the ph. The easiest way is to get some pH Up.

Have you checked the calibration of your pH pen?

it’s “brand new” lol i calibrated the way the instructions said but all i used was tap water, 2tsp bloom , 1growbig, 1 tiger bloom, boomerang 1/2, calmag 1/2

When you say all you used was tap water was that for the calibration? If so, that might be the issue. You have to use calibration solutions [buffers]. 4 and 7 are recommended. If you already know this, my apologies.

no, lol, i used the buffers and everything it came with the tester, what i meant was that all i used right at this moment was tap water for the nuts

@Alexcrow88. I had that meter. I had to recalibrate every time I used it. I know my tap water is 7.2 to 7.4 and it would read 6.85. One thing to do is store it in a buffer solution (only the tip wetted) or invest in better meter. My two cents.

i measured tap water ph was 7.5 then i add big bloom it when up to almost 8 then i added grow big and it took it all the way down to 6.1 then added tiger bloom and now it says 5.2 :unamused:

You can use baking soda in a pinch to raise the pH but this adds sodium to the water and soil. There is a indicator called SAR or sodium absorption ratio that is a balance between sodium, calcium and magnesium that need to be balanced.

Others have recommended pHup but I haven’t researched it yet.

I worked on a project many many moons ago to develop a detergent that had a perfect balance so gray water from laundry could be used to water lawns and would not be detrimental to rivers and streams. It was quashed because possible E Coli. contamination was not addressed.

what i did for right now is to add CalMag, big bloom and Boomerang to a gallon of tap water to feed it tomorrow while i wait for my ph upper and then i feed it regular next time. Those 3 gave me a ph of 6.3 so i ma run with that for now and hope for the best

Please let me know how that works out! My pH meter tipped over in my collection basin and drowned. I am flying blind until the new one shows up. I want to switch to bloom this weekend because I have a jungle in my closet.

are you growing autos? if so, they do it by them self, well, mine did  i also got my lights-Bloom-switch on 18/6 cycle. I will definitely let you know as soon as i do this and upload new pics of her . Its a Blueberry/ BigDevil strain and i’ve call it “Gaia”

@Alexcrow88. I am growing photos. My pH meter show up today! I am like a kid in a candy store!

My tap pH is 7.8. After veg nutes are added it is 7.0 then I add a pinch of citric acid and it is 6.5.

I also checked my first mix of bloom nutrients and they are at 5.9 so I will have to adjust them up.

great tips :call_me_hand:t2:
