Can you help me understand how you came to the conclusion that that is soilless?

??? That is what I have heard it called - may have dirt. I think it is because it is mostly known quantities of things like peat, perlite, etc. But I could be wrong.

Fixed it

Comparing this to the grow-guide, this resembles the “week 1 day 1” pic, so I’m starting the clock (9/27)

This is the update with a brand new tower fan.

With the soil stuff and the fan I have put about $100 into this, but the mix above filled 2 5gal pots, so I’m ready for the next one, and can make adjustments based on this grow.

Bottom leaves look harsh, but all the new growth looks pretty

The seed-leaf looks like the outer skin of a green-onion when it dies???

Two of my plants bottom leafs are pretty ugly too / dying. They have been for weeks but everything else is green. I was wondering myself if that was normal but I chalked it up to them having a rough infancy.

I don’t have that onion look though so curious about that myself. I’ll be following along for the ride!

I wouldn’t worry about the bottom growth. Usually on my plants the bottom leaves look ugly so I remove them. As long as the new growth is looking good then you should be fine.

Oh, I’m not worried, just enthralled. I always envisioned the leaves dying at the stem and falling off.

I mean, you can see healthy stem under that skin

I did just read that a peeling stem is normal to an extent. Peeling usually occurs when the plant is growing very fast.
Anyone please correct me if I am wrong. I like learning

@Whodat66 tag me in bro. I’ll watch the excitement.

@Whodat66 I’m watching this excitement… looks great so far. Who doesn’t love Merica’???
