I grew my first autoflower and it triggered flower at 4 weeks. It only got about 7 sets of leaves when it started growing pistils. I thought they were just pre flowers but it stopped growing leaves and went to full flower. Is that normal? And all the hairs look like they have died off now and its only 8 weeks old and tiny. Should I let it go for a few more weeks?
I did transplant it into a larger pot but not sure if that would do it?
Thanks for any advise!
it is recomenden to plant autoflowering seed into their final pot. transplanting them is alot of stress, that stuns the growth.
what does the breeder say about the seed to harvest time?
if its is around 8 to 9 weeks, starting flowering at 4th is reasonable i think.
im not the most savy on any of that so take my word with a grain of salt…
question for the more veteran auto growers…
does an auto starts flowering if she gets less than 12h of light, or will she push trough with veg. until she is ready for flowering, completely ignoring the light cycle?
How big is your pot?
Like @outdooring said start your autos in their final pot. At least 2 gallon. I have had some shrimps over the years. This may just be the pheno type or she got stunted. The few shrips I had looked about like your little lady. That may just be how she grows and no fault of yours. Plant another seed and press on with another grow. Watch over watering, and keep the nutes low at the start of your grow. The first few weeks are very important for the final size of the plant.
I had one that was grown outside last summer that was kinda the same. This pic was after it was cut down, before any trimming. Might be worth it to let yours go a while and see what it does
Thanks for that. I got them from here and it says flower 8 weeks. I did msg them asking if that was trigger flower or finished flowering but haven’t heard back as yet.
I have only ever grown photosensitive varieties so treated it the same. Just thought it would be bigger as it was grown outside
Also thinking maybe not a big enough pot so will start a.new one and try again
I think the pot might be too small personally. I don’t think flowering starting at 4 weeks is insane. Also, consider lst on the next one. The bud itself looks pretty though! Nice job
Yer probably right about that pot thing… no pun intended
