Hello I have white widow autoflower and I have a pot for pot. I have a question my plant is growing but I think it’s stretching don’t know what to do
Needs more light , also I would backfield up on the stem. Small fan create a little air flow so plant jiggles will help strengthen stem.
What does backfield means
He meant backfill (add some more soil)
@Adamesangel stretching seedlings are often from insufficient lighting, some advise (@MidwestGuy does this welll) that at repotting to bury the extended stalk up to the lowest node or even higher if you clip off lower nodes (btanches). But without an upgrade in the light source the young plant will just continue to struggle with stretching and limited growth. Good luck!!!
Ok so you what mean to add more soil to the tip of the stem and cut the two light leaves on the bottom correct. Not sure
@Adamesangel Its in my opinion that the lower leaves (2 nodes) are removable and bury up to this line. Increase light afterwards plus include a fan of some sort for air movement to help strengthen the stalk. From what I’ve read on here those nodes will then root similar to how the stalks on tomato plants do.
I dont recommend u cut it ! Its to young its only on its first node. The stress will kill it ! Wait tell your on 5th node
Backfill or tie a stick to it 4 support … its Struggling 4 more sun.
@P_Dawg so your recommending to backfill without removing the lower dying fan leaves? Pinching them off shouldn’t be much of an issue seeing as their hanging limp and already almost dead. The top of the plant looks fine. You don’t think them rotting while still attached to the nodes under fresh soil is equally just as likely for an issue?
P.S. there’s 3 nodes at this point.
Just curious if I’m understanding you is all. Ty
I agree with @Fieldofdreams shes too lanky to support it. Just remove those lower 2 leafs and bury her deep.
Bring the light closer afterwards.
Hello my community hope all is well and I hope I did a good job.
And I also plugged in a fan and I have a 250 watt led light with a Lukas of 3000
