White Gnats and what do I do?

So I had/have a white gnat problem. I sprayed with spinosad and then skipped watering a few days to dry them out. I know have one plants with some burnt looking leaves and discoloration on another.

PH is at 6.1 in fox farms strawberry fields

A lil on the low side for ph.
Strawberry fields has very little nitrogen in it vs OF for example. Its ment as a flowering soil. Some of that excess P and K likely locking out some other nutes causing the burn you have there. Never used spinosad, others that have will chime in i. Sure.
Sticky traps and DE more natural defense against fungus gnats.

Those look like whiteflies to me. Reason I’m making a point to make the distinction is as far as I know, Cap’t Jack’s Dead Bug isn’t aimed at killing whiteflies. I hate to suggest it, but Neem oil is a better bet. Or insecticidal soap.

I’ll try anything. Also checked the ph and it’s 6.63 not 6.1

@Lacewing @Caligurl @JaneQP best thing to use to deal with whiteflies? (Also concurrence that these are indeed whiteflies?)

I can’t tell if those are bugs or just white spots. I have lived through spider mite invasions and it started with white dots and then worse as they sucked the life out of my grow. I sent a link of something a local grower uses. I have not tried it so I cannot vouch.

Are you spraying your plants during lights on ?
That could be the cause of the discoloration not discounting anyone saying to check your ph just saying I don’t trust light after I sprayed the leaves down …sun or artificial
Should be done right before dark period

Look up a product called safe grow bio pesticide it’s aimed at white flies, mites ,and aphids it’s also made completely from plant oils and is completely safe for flowering cannabis plants
It’s actually made for cannabis also

I put some de down last night and with the spinosad from before, I’m seeing no more bugs. Hopefully this continues to work!

Do you have any actual pics of the bugs ?
One way to know it’s white flies is like pick up one edge of the pot and drop it …they should all jump off and then go right back on the plant
Thsi will give you an idea of where exactly they are and also how many

Not anymore. Before I could shake the plant and they would fly off then land back on it

For White Flies I paint a board Yield Sign yellow, smear with veggie oil and place at an 5° angle to the ground. The flies are attracted to the board. and stick in the oil, Totally organic and safe. Best thing is you don’t spray anything on your plants.
