First photoperiod I think ready for first step in training. What would be some suggestions? Where would I tip? And can the trimmed top be used as a clone-able piece?

@BobbyDigital gave some great advise and is solid
You can also let her go to 6-7 nodes, top her back down to 3-4, then train outwards for a week or more (your choice how long) then flip, you get a good clone from her top that way.
