Put it right beside your plants so you can get the closest readings as to what your plants are feeling. You can even attach it to the side of one of your pots. An if you only have 2 plants put the unit beside one and the probe beside the other then you get temp readings for both plants.

If I’m correct, doesn’t that unit come with an extra piece? Or a probe?
I have one like it, and for the indoor temp you set that unit where you want it to read, and for the outdoor temp I place the extra piece outside and it reads the temperature then relays it back to the actual unit.

Yeah it has 2 silver clips on the end of the unit, so do I just place a string on the inside and the outside?
Doesnt come with anything else…
