At what leaf pattern should I transplant to my 5 gal smart pots? My roots are growing out of Cow Pots? Can I go ahead and transfer?
Indoor tent grow.
Once you see roots growing out of it it is ready to transplant.
Here’s another question. I planted a gold leaf and northern lights in the same Cow Pots using an organic seed starter and the 2 leaves seedlings roots have already reached the bottom and are starting to come out. Am I safe to transplant them to the 5 gal pots?
Yup, as a rule you should always transplant if the roots are protruding from the pot (cow pot, coco pot, etc.). Your plant will die or at least be severely stressed if the roots are exposed to light for long, thus the need to transplant when roots pop out.

From my experience just recently , I really think transplanting at least 3 times is at best when growing . I tried to cut corners and rush the process and killed three seedlings of some really good genectic strains from ILGM seeds and until I transplanted properly from a small cup to a 1 gallon smart pot and than transplanted into a 7 gallon smart pot I was only causing myself heartache and set backs . If you transplant them in a to big of a size pot to soon your plant will have slow growth due to the roots spending more time trying to support the plant above the soil , hope this helps ? Example , small 8 oz plastic cup or chopped 2 liter bottle , than into a 1 gallon or 3 liter pot and than into a 5-7-10 gallon final pot I believe work best and keeps your plant thriving !!!
Thanks everybody for all your help
