We would need pictures of your plant to give a better idea of when to stop feeding. There is also a matter of why stop feeding them. There have been studies that proved that unflushed weed tastes better than weed that has been flushed at 2 weeks before chop which is the broscience standard. While flushing at 1 week had a smoother smoke than either the 2 week or no flush, the no flush won hands down as the preferred buds in a blind tasting.

I’ve never paid attention. I water when the soil is dry and harvest when the trichomes are to my taste regardless of when she was last watered.

Healthy trichs depend on water, nutrients, and light being available to the plant right up until harvest. The ability of the plant to produce and maintain trichomes is compromised if these elements are taken away from the plant.

Dead on. I feel the two are irrelevant to each other.

Agree with above, water as usual, and harvest when they’re ready.

In my head it makes sense to water right up to harvest. The moisture helps slow the drying process down.

Agreed with all. According to science, it doesnt add much.

I always say, if you think it does, thats all that matters. Then do so.

I think how wet or dry your soil is at harvest time should be determined by what the conditions in your drying space are going to be.
If you live in a dry area or if it’s warmer than you want it to be, then I think it would be helpful to harvest with as much moisture as possible in the plant to help prevent drying too quickly.
If you’re in a humid area where you can dry slower naturally, and you’re worried about the possibility of pathogens, it might be helpful to harvest when the soil is dryer.
I basically follow those guidelines based on the seasons here.

The moisture for slow drying makes sense,im ready to pull them tomorrow so i guess one more watering won’t hurt

When you are close to harvest the plant won’t suck up hardly any water at all so 7 days before chop imo

The day before harvest is good, it lets the plant get well hydrated and it gives you a good long drying stage
