im a first time grower and all 3 autos i started in 1 gallon pots ive transplanted into 3s and a 5 and they are out growing all my other autos which i started in their final pots

It may change it may not, roots are built first so in a big pot it can be deceiving due to the work that’s going on under the ground.
That being said the risk of shocking and auto and stunting it is so much higher that’s why it’s not recommended.
I start in autopots so I would never pot up multiple times, just solo cup to final pot at most.
