When is vegetation stage done?

I have white widow plants and they are about to be 8 week old from seed, I just change my light to bloom stage at 7 weeks. How long should I wait to change it, is it to early?

Change when you want at this point, veg is done when you want it to be done, and hopefully before you run out of grow space, plan on the stretch you will get in flowering.

Ok tomorrow is going to be 3 weeks into bloom are my girls going to stretch some more or do you think they stopped

and my lights do you think they ok because some people say my lights might not produce a big yield they say go with HLG lights but I don’t have that money right now but looking to invest in one some time?

Probably mostly done but can see a little more stretch for another week.

Lights are usually the limiting factor on yields, more light = more yield (to a point). Your lights will grow bud just fine, it’ll just limit your yields. It’s up to you if your yields are hitting your goals, if they are then you’re fine, if you want more yield, then light upgrade can help get you there.

If your light has veg/bloom switches turn them all on for flowering, want as much light as possible.

So I have both lights they have bloom/veg modes I only have the flower mode on, so I should Turn it to bloom/veg mode then?

Yep, make all the lights come on, max wattage, full speed ahead for flowering.

Sweet, more light the better for flowering. Yeah blurples get a bad rap these days but at one time they were the pinnacle of LED technology and they grow bud just fine if you throw enough watts at it and with both your lights you got a decent amount of wattage and you’ve done a good job of filling your tent (hate seeing half empty tents in flowering, what a waste of space) before flowering so I think you’ll make some weight. Just keep them healthy, don’t push the bloom ferts too hard (they will burn ya if you push it) and I think you’ll have a good harvest.

@Hellraiser So I should have waited longer in veg stage to get them a little bigger for bloom? And I’ve just been giving them 12ML per gallon of iguana juice organic bloom that’s all I was trying to stick with because this is my first time.

What I would do differently next time is top the plants to get multiple colas per plant and a more even canopy, which will increase yields and also keep the plants a bit shorter allowing you to veg them a little longer for more yield.

Your nute usage looks good.

Picture your plants like this before flowering with big wide even canopy of tops, clean up the bottom third of the plant for less larfy and popcorn buds and a whole lot less trimming. More big buds on top where the light is.

When is a good time to top my plants? Is there like a rule of thumb like no topping before 3 weeks in veg or something like that? And what dose it mean when you say clean the bottom third of the plant?

I top them after 5 or 6 nodes have grown. Clean the bottom, basically I remove anything on the bottom third of the plant, branches, leaves, everything before flowering.

You should check out my grow journal where I cover things like topping and transplants, and well pretty much everything eventually.

Funny thing is I’m reading that there is just a but load of comment so it’s taking me some time and cool I’m going to try that out with my next batch 5-6nodes I’m going to start a journal for my next batch. would I be able to tag you so I can have some advice along the way?
