Is a lovely deep purple bud past peak? Or is it more strain related?
Just a very few amber showing, still some clear.

Genetics and environment dictate coloration. Lower temps will bring out colors.

or a higher PH watering for the last two weeks of flower I think :))

Trichomes are the decider of doneness. Flower color is genetic, influenced by environment. Trichomes change color from maturity, in the case of amber trichomes, a degredation/transformation of thc into cbn or cbg (can never remember which or if both)
