when I pruned I noticed some purole goo come out of the stem anyone know what that’s all about

I never realized it was purple but when you cut or break a plant a liquid emerges to protect & heal itself.

Thats the sap from the plant just like @Laurap mentioned

I had a plant do that but it’s usually clear for me. I’ve seen a buddies plant be purple before:+1:
It is only clear briefly then starts to harden off to form scab just like blood or tree sap changes color when it oxidizes

Oh ok. See learn something new everyday. I think I saw a video one time of a red looking substance just like that. It looks pretty cool
