When do indoor germinated plants go outdoors?

My first go at germinating seeds indoors per the Bergman’s Lab instructions. Mid-May in Massachusetts. At what height or time do I plant these in the ground? Do I need to worry about leaf burn? They under 24/7 lights while sprouting. Thanks.

You can start hardening them off by putting them outside now a few hours a day, as long as weather permits. Then, wait for the last frost, and you can plant them outside.

You do have to worry about leaf burn. You only need to keep them at 24hrs for the first week or two, and then go to 18/6.

Here in Oregon we gradually ramp them down to 16 hours a day then put them outside.
