What’s your opinion on flat growing. Meaning ,to grow tall enough to bend towards the ground and laying it over keeping the stalk on the ground and leafs growing upwards .

Lst training main lining and a few other techniques actually are used to do exactly what you describe and work great when applied
Properly 
Scrog screens work great also to keep plant low and wide allowing everything to grow upwards and have a even canopy

I grow predominately in a scrog now. I love it. Great yields. Fun training plants.
