So in the past Ive been surprised by some amazing weed. One of these was Panama red at a concert inthe early 90s and another was some elephant weed , at least thats what the guy called it. So what was your best pot?

Maui wowie, Fire OG, Girl Scout cookies. GSC and MW still by far the most flavorful strains I’ve ever tried.
GSC was minty, with a sweet earthy flavor
And MW was very lemon lime tasting. I could almost say it’s like key lime pie and lemon heads mixed.
FOG was very citrus with a hint of pine finish.
MW is a great active strain, GSC is a great chill but active strain, and FOG would be more chill and almost time for bed, but you could be active if you struggled a bit. Don’t over indulge. Lol

That would depend on what you mean by best. As far as potency goes Bruce Banner by ilgm hands down. But I think the best all-around experience was banana kush also from ilgm. Gold Leaf packs quite a punch, it’s also the easiest grow I have ever performed. So you see best weed you’ve ever smoked is a pretty broad subject, when you make your own.

Most memorable for me was something passed down the row at an outdoor concert in 1977.
Dont know what it was but it was some intense stuff. Probably had some additional hash or ???

Pretty cool topic to get started! I can’t point a finger on the best or most memorable experience unfortunately. However I have recently been loving any strain that has a papaya cross, that papaya is just so damn consistent with the terpenes. Other than that my go to strain for the last 4 to 5 months has been this Wonka Bars grown by a local dispensary. They grow in hydo, so the buds are always super compact and frosty as hell. The taste is very nice it is a cross of a GMO mom and Mint Chocolate Chip, this particular cut has more garlic.minced.onions (GMO) flavors with a mint undertone I know it sounds disgusting but it’s really damn good and it test anywhere from 24 to 29% thc which isn’t everything in a strain I get it but this stuff is the whole package in my eyes and lungs.

As far as smoke around 1983 there was a pretty large amount of black hash that ended up in my area. The reason I say large amount because it was available all summer long. I see people today 37 years later that still remembers it. One hit it would expand your lungs like a balloon. I am dead serious one hit an you was totally worthless the rest of the day. I know it wasn’t weed but I thought it would be a good time to share an old memory.

Thats kinda my experience, at a concert, there were 4 of us and my buddy pulled a pinner out of his jacket, i laughed and said " dude theres 4 of us "! Well he laughed and said " not for long, go easy ". Me being a daily driver didnt heed his warning. They passed that pinner around twice, it tasted so christmassy, just another toke… ok lets finish it?
Anyways, im sure the concert was good? They had to sit me down on a bench in the zamboni lane of the ice rink. I stayed there for the whole first act and a good portion of the second. I still dont remember who played? I think it was Chilliwack?

Oh yeah! I was a big time hash lover! That was the gold seal black hash period! Yep, every now and then there was some expando going around and you were a fool if you didnt sell your 10 speed for a half ounce of it! Good call on that memory!

@Cannabian At the time the Black hash was available you could not give a bag of compressed weed away. This stuff was like sticky you could roll it up in a couple BB size size balls an drop in a pipe. I seen the blonde Lebanese come through a few times but it was no comparison to what that stuff was. Often wondered where it originated from.

Well at that time, much of that hash was coming from Afghanistan and Pakistan. There was a few different types, temple balls, Kubal, gold seal and black tar. On the other side of the fence was Nepalese hash. The cheap stuff was blonde Lebanese and slightly better quality was red Lebanese… Last but not least was Moroccan mostly green… was pretty git and miss in the quality department. I smoked and ate hash by the pound in those days. My buddies and I would buy all that we could afford and sell most if it to maintain our habbit.
Oh I almost forgot!!! There was somebody in Montreal at the time that was flooding the Canadian market with Montreal black hash. That disappeared after a while, maybe it was too difficult to maintain production of? Labour is pretty cheap in Afghanistan…

Right now ILGM Bruce banner is my go to. I’m still searching for that “perfect” strain for me.
Is that ILGM’s MW? Sounds like my style of weed.

My best had to be a bag I picked up in Puerto Rico just outside rosy roads base back in 1980.
Don’t know what strain unfortunately It was def pinner material and would rock ya.

I agree, Thai stick back in 74-75 (Southern California) would be my most memorable pick. Most recently I go with my ILGM Blueberry and ILGM Maui Wowie. Both have really impressed me. My daily daytime smoke for the last 4 years is still the ILGM Super Silver Haze.

I totally agree I was hoping someone else said that ,when I got that bud way back it came wrapped around a stick brown in color but incredible bud I still remember it
