Its foxtailling, which means its been stressed, genetics or its just pushing hard the last couple weeks. Foxtails make it hard to check tricomes because it’s constantly growing new pistols and tricomes.

I feel that’s absolutely the case. Unfortunately nothing really you can do about it now. I’ve seen a couple use a process called backbuilding. That seemed to slow it down a little, but won’t make them go away.

Trim the foxtails at the base and like what @dbrn32 said, about back building. When my buds foxtail, at harvest when manicuring I trim them off and they dry faster so that gives you something to smoke while waiting on it to cure
