What to do with runoff after feeding or watering? Leave it in the tray for the plant to sip? Or drain and pitch?
Leaving a pot in standing water can cause a number of problems. Pitch it.
I suggest a riser to keep your pot out of standing water.

I Always vacuum and remove.
If left sitting in it then issues can arise from the ph and ppm’s being off at the roots.
A cheap and fast option I found is cooling trays for baking. They are usually thicker steel and about $4, lay one over a tray raises them up. I have 7Gallon pots supported on them.
But just like others said, with the run off, remove as soon as possible. Couple reasons, it will attract bugs and it has living organisms in it. So aside from plants eating it, it will attract other problems. Removing as soon as possible you prevent this.
If you have house plants, they’ll love the runoff
Beat me to it!
My tomatoes - neglected as they were - got my ro through the summer.
Now the houseplants are enjoying it!
Can’t be wasting water or nutes in 2021! Everything’s too expensive to throw away!
That being said - I wouldn’t use the ro from one plant to feed another, too much risk.
But I’m not growing the houseplants to smoke so they’re good! LOL!
Smoking ferns and ivy
Not a good idea
Just got these and they are super freaking convenient. Don’t know that they have them for bigger than maybe 7 gallon pots. My 5 gallon bags huh the edge tightly, but my next grow will be in 3 gallon bags…
My outdoor plants (non cannabis) get my runoff.
My hibiscus in the back yard hates it😂
I dump mine into my yard, figure grass will be green next year. Or severely dead….either way less work keeping it green or no more mowing so a win either way.
That’s a great attitude! Positive thinking
Like the others said toss it or recycle it with other plant’s. After checking my Ph and runoff PPM I rinse the trays and dry them.
My ferns, hydrangeas, magnolia tree love it. My fruit trees used to but last years freeze killed them.
I should do that but it’s already enough work with 9 plants going. Vacuuming is about all I’m willing to give my run off.
Sounds like I should start dumping more on my apple tree…….
Since we didn’t move I’m clearing out the whole back yard to start a couple small gardens. Not looking forward to busting a 25’x15’ concrete slab to get it done tho.
I just worry if it is left to dry in the tray the next time you water it may or may not give a good reading from old residue in it. That’s just me.
Oh man, I don’t envy you.
