What stregnth lens do I need to get a good view of trichromes?

I am using 5x magnification and have no problem seeing them. Depends on how good your regular eye sight is.

How is the size compared to a human hair?
Does the main cola ripen 1st or the smaller buds?

Main cola first. Most people want at least a 40x magnification, usual using a jeweler’s or photographer’s loupe, some people prefer more magnification, say 50 or 60x magnification.
