What’s the brown crunchy spot on my bud

Never seen this before. Is this from being too close to the light maybe? Just a smallish spot on two different colas. It feels dry and crunchy to the touch. I’ve had all kinds of different mold and rot when growing outdoor and it looks nothing like a mold/fungus to me.

Any ideas?

That would be bud rot. DO NOT SMOKE THAT.

It’s not bud rot. I’ve battled bud rot outdoors for years and I can say this ain’t it.

Maybe your other idea is right then. light burn possibly? I still wouldn’t smoke it.
