What plant should get flowered 1st and for how long before pollinating? Make or female?

Logically if you want lots of seeds the female should flower first. Once it starts making seeds its not going to grow so much.

Thank you. Would flowering the female 1 week before the male be sufficient ?

I would do both at the same time, While the male is making pollen the female is making her flowers. All so are you going to collect some of the pollen from the male for future use ?
