Looks like someone got the bad genes. I believe they call it ruderalis (sorry if i butchered the spelling) or foxtailing. Could be genetics or could be another issue @dbrn32 @MidwestGuy @Docnraq @Caligurl thoughts?

To further what I mean- lately been noticing alot of autoflower “missfires” and smell less flowers, and short plants, etc etc. While I dont claim to have any knowledge about breeding I think there is a bad seasons worth of autoflower gentetics running rampant right now. Maybe had something to do with the pandemic and breeders abilities to maintain plants during the hight of it all. Either way, when I run out of auto seeds, Im switching to photos. Even here in my tiny apartment.

From appearance it’s full of white pistils, and still has quite some time before you would expect bud swell. But flowering since 7/4? I wouldn’t have guess pictured plant to be flowering for more than a few weeks.

There is a phenotype that shows up in autoflowers and I have seen several people with it this season.
Keeps growing and growing with new pistils but little to no trichome production.
They just keep that pattern until you chop it and move on.
There is at least 3 recent threads about similar plants.
If its not a problem you can let it ride. I gave up on the one I had at 17 weeks.
Its always in Autoflowers, never seen it in photo period plants.
Second plant looks normal.

Was anything worth keeping after 17 weeks

And thank you for the help

We made topical oil from it. Smoke was pretty much worthless.
