Well, I wouldn’t say no good. Just not as good as a par meter, and they’re expensive. I’m sure if you look around the Internet you can find some lux references to go by.

While researching about lux to par have come across this post
" (24 hour on lighting)
250 PAR - Seedlings
450 PAR - teens up until around 9 inches of height (they should be ultra dense and bushy)
500 PAR - Switch to 12/12 lighting
750 PAR - Mid bloom
850 PAR - mid-late bloom
400 PAR - Last three weeks ( shade them in simulation )
This seems to work great and the shading at end harvest time ensure the plants very low photo-response and activity is not over-burden causing light burn due to she’s so pregnant she cannot keep up … so letting her rest those last three weeks causes a phenomenal girth and trich output !"
So have any of you heard about this 3 week rest before?!?

IF IT IS WORTH DOING the only problem is i cant raise my light high enough to get the 400 par value (would have to be 36"+) but i can turn off the veg or bloom switch to lower light intensity
Will use my lux meter when the light comes back on to see what difference there is (if only according to the lux meter) between both veg and bloom on and only veg OR bloom on
And im guessing that as shes in flower it would be best to leave the bloom switch on and at most just turn the veg switch off?!?
Look at ppfd average not a single point measurement directly under your light. As far as trying it, sure why not

Got 1.4 litres run off pH 6.5

Switched to 12/12 04/08
No pistles in 10/08 pic

Guessing they appeared 12/08
Makes it 6 weeks n 4 days (7th week) of flowering (since pistles)
Tomorrow water only
Next Monday water nutes n last bloom boost (end of week 7 as per bloom boost schedule)
Following Thurs water only
Next Sunday last feed with nutes
Then 2 weeks flush water only

got 2.3 litres run off pH 6.5
will start giving less water as run off amount is too high (30%) and im thinking she doesnt need as much water now shes almost done
flowering will be 8 weeks (from pistils) this sunday so pretty much ready to harvest in the next week or so!!
