Weed as an appetite suppressant

I’ve been growing mostly high CBD plants the last few years and I use most of them for edibles. I’ve recently run into a strange situation…
I make butter for in the morning out of most CBD plants and I sometimes use different strains butter mixed together. I recently mixed Harle-Tsu butter with Blueberry CBD butter and it really suppressed my appetite. I’m still using this mix in the morning and I eat a lot less right now. It’s actually a good thing because I’m diabetic and losing some weight won’t kill me. Has anyone else had weed that suppresses the appetite?

I haven’t, but I sure will try to find some! Let me know. Gonna follow you.

Sounds like your plants produced some THCV. I read about this last year. Apparently, durban poison has the highest amounts. It acts as an appetite suppressant on the receptors.

I noticed that when i grew a durban poison and a green crack. GC gives me the munchies and the durban i would have to make myself eat. Interesting fact. Thanks

I have plenty of Durban seeds @CLICKYBONES. Unfortunately it’s pretty high THC and at 65 years old that slows me down during the day even though DP is mainly sativa.

Tagged, I was just joking with my wife the other day about finding a strain that does the opposite of giving you the munchies. Seems like all I do it eat after I smoke lol. I’d like to grab one of those strains that does the opposite

Interesting article @CLICKYBONES. I think I know what’s happening here. Besides from the edibles in the morning, I also vape a mixture of Blueberry CBD and Animal Cookies in the afternoon. This strain is a cross between Fire OG and GSC which are on the list for THCV. I have 4 of the strains mentioned in the article. I tried to grow Skunk #1 which is on the list this time but it didn’t take off well so Critical Mass won out.

Can you turn these into edibles and maybe dose smaller?

Ive had a few strains in the past that suppressed my appetite. I noticed you mentioned you were diabetic. Are you insulin dependent? How has it affected your blood sugar and your A1C? My wife and MIL are both diabetic and ive been in the medical field my whole life ( father is a retired surgeon )

That’s what I’m thinking about doing the next run. Grow 2 high CBD plants as usual and 1 Durban and 1 #1Skunk. Then I have enough to experiment

I’m type 2 not insulin dependent @ChittyChittyBangin …last A1C was 7.8. I take 2 synjardy a day. Can’t do ozempic or other hormone drugs due to severe GERD issues it causes me

We can’t trade seeds or share addresses here on this forum @TT . Only moderators can private message and I live in a state that gives you a 5 year state paid vacation for growing. Sorry
