Wattage for grow box

A question from a fellow grower:

My growing box size is 48 CFT.
3’ x 2’ x 8’
Now tell me, How much wattage of light should I apply?

You can use a standard 250-400 watt HPS lamp, or a digital Switchable MH/HPS system of about 400 watts.
