Virginian’s Grow Journal What did I do? LOL

Yes, some things can be fixed, or moved by members with a certain status. Regular or member I think can.
I can change it back, or change the title if needed.

Lol nice, yeah you have your regular status because you have browsed alot of new threads.
I lost mine after not voting enough new threads so I can’t move stuff or re name it.

@Nicky, I should have clarified MUCH better. Those Blue Dream (supposed AF and Fem) seeds were ALL from bag seed, accumulated over purchases from “my dude” (who grew it). It took months to accumulate them but SOMEtimes you’d get a bud with 3-5seeds in it. Anyway, I didn’t know enough to ASK him if he pollinated his female to acquire seeds from her back then. Most likely it hermed or GOT pollinated by a male and that’s how seeds came to be…
@Covertgrower nah, you can leave it …i THOUGHT i had requested a while back for someone to move it once it was KNOWN they weren’t AF. I JUST went back through this entire “journal” (more like random, unorganized thoughts and going off on tangents unrelated, with a few journal related posts interspersed, lol…) and couldn’t find it.
@HMGRWN i want to give you kudos, WAYYYYYY back in june when i had a panic moment and THOUGHT i saw nanners, YOU WERE THE ONLY ONE who went on and said it  We all thought “i was safe” a couple days later as they DID start to look like calyxes should but SURE ENOUGH, Amy Lee ended up being Albert Lee and got culled last week but it NEEDS to be said, that i appreciate your input and recognize that you originally “called it right” back in June , THANKS
ANNNNND, lastly a note to self: on your next journal, TRYYYYY to stay focused and not be distracted by…OHHHHH SHINEY!!! …what was i saying? oh yeah, don’t let yourself get side-tra…SPARRRKLEYYYYYY!!! (runs off to see what it was)

Anyone selling bud didn’t mean to pollinate and give you seedy weed.

Then the question is what type of grow do they run, this will help you decide if it was herm or pollinated. If unknown suspect herm.

If they grow autos only it was a herm.
If they grow Fems only it was a herm.
If they grow regular seeds (very few growers do this by the way, most will run Fems or cut clones) then you mostly like got a good F1 cross natural pollinated.

Any seed inside a bud grown from an unknown source is generally a safe bet to assume its a herm seed, not saying it will for sure herm but it has a higher trait to herm and would not be ideal to breed that’s for sure.

@Nicky @oldmarine @Covertgrower @PurpNGold74 , i THINK i already know the answer but am looking for confirmation, or steering in the right direction if not correct. I just took Zoey Zkittles out to lollipop trim her. She’s like 20-22" now on center main stalks! In doing so, i tied the outer long thick stalks (staked rather) down again lower which made her MUCH wider but her center “main” stalks (old growth) were still TOWERING above… i took some clones from those, lol. I came down to 4th or 5th node down from top, and cut just above the twin fans coming out the stalk. NOW, HERE is where i’m seeking confirmation. Those stalks were VERY nimble and “soft”. OBVIOUSLY she’s getting enough light (or maybe i’m wrong and need to turn it up from 65%), so i’m thinking it’s not “hardy” in stem/stalk because it needs more AIR??? I am lacking now in that closet up in the humidity because that 18yr old industrial floor fan started squealing (bearings) at me the other day and then quit and it only has a small window fan (BARELY) blowing in there on them at the moment and NO exhaust… should i take these outside while still warm until i can get some fans this week to “hardy” up the stem/stalks??? And also, did i farg up royally in where/how i took those clones from stem tops? The lil clones are so “limp” they’re just leaning over. Hoping they’ll perk up and stand up like the other clones but THOSE had “woody” stalks. Like toothpick strong nearly in comparison to these soft, bendy ones

LOL, as much as I wish it were so, those clones are NOT leaning over from LST, unless in this case it means Low Supply of Testosterone, hahaha

More air movement would help make stems stronger. Also if those tops you took were being supported by other branches than that is quite normal, as stems that don’t have to hold their weight, generally don’t when that support is removed. Silica would help with that as well.

Give them some time and see if they perk up.

I never take inside plants outside, unless they are staying out, don’t want to bring in pests.

Look at Sally’s fadazz too, growing like crazy also after that last compost tea drink Friday

Understood. Was just thinking it would help hardy up the stalks (main plants not clones) if they went in that balcony railing for a day or two but I agree I don’t want to bring in pests

so @oldmarine lol, i hesitated earlier to mention, because i didn’t see it til after you said it honestly… but i ONLY cut the “button caps” if you will, or “topped” the little clones that were flowering. The rest is still on the shaft/foliage. Those button caps dried out all day, and i just did a rip in my bong of a piece of one…HOLY CRAP…those are fluffy, immature buds and not only did it taste PHENOMENAL (fruity overtones), but i FEEL it…lol, and pretty GOOD too. one tiny rip of an immature bud… pssssshhhhhhhh, if that’s like that now i HOPE it’s even BETTER once mature and harvested/cured  I can STILL taste that “fruity” tones it put out  That was off one of the blue dreams

Wow it just so happens that I cut a lower branch off Gary…had a couple of budlettes

You think I should try them? I figured immature =no good but…:grinning:
It’s a nice night for a…White Widow

dry it out and try it. I expected it to taste like “homegrown” (leafy) and not do anything and was surprised BOTH ways, lol

Hellraiser said everything I was going to say.

Fans need to be fixed /replaced, if your in coco add silica always, and don’t take plants outside unless you want to risks bugs

@Lacewing @Deez @CygnusX1 probably one of my favorite renditions of his to this song, live. I had this playing while doing some trimming on the ladies and i swear they looked like they were swaying to it, lol  I miss the content this man put out, and was a MAJOR loss to the music world when he was snatched from us at such a young age…could you imagine the content by now he’d have been putting out? Rest well Stevie, one of the G.O.A.T.'s  Live from the El Mocambo, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Texas Flood

LOVE watching reaction vids to this too, when they see him play it like that behind his back, so effortlessly, while singing

11 September 2021: first and foremost, remembering those who lost their lives in the Twin Towers and Pentagon, and PA Field crash during those senseless attacks on our beloved Country. Also giving honor and remembrance to my brothers and sisters in this Unites States of America and every ally Country that stood beside us in “The War against Terror” who have paid the ultimate price, or been maimed for life, for…what I’m not sure at this point after the way it “ended”. Lifting every one of YOU who served in those 20 years up in honor and remembrance

Journal entry: What a dang morning… Teensy, was a dude also. Same raised planter box Amy (Albert) Lee was in. Got the choppity chop. I’d been watching it for a few days now because EVERYTHING else outside is flowering/budding pretty strong and it was throwing what looked like calyxes at first but still would prove to be new veg within a day or two. Again, like Albert Lee, the lower sprouts off the main stem that wouldn’t make light of day FINALLY showed me some immature seed pods forming. I culled that tiny shoot to get it away from overtop of the planter box dirt and Sylvia Lance Harper (super lemon haze) in there with it. I rolled that “pod” looking vegetation at the base of the stem at the top and sure enough a tiny green seed fell into my palm. CHOPPITY CHOP CHOP!!!

Then, poor Sylvia Lance Harper in same planter box, had THREE fuzzy caterpillars on her in various places. She’s so tiny compared to what Albert Lee and “Teensy” were because they just overshadowed her in that planter box but now she’s “the star of the show in it” unless she proves to be a dude too…then i have just a raised planter box of really good dirt, lol  I coerced the caterpillars onto larger fan leaves which were 5 or 6 nodes down from tops anyway and then snipped the leaves and then snipped them in half (the caterpillars) with the scissors also. Ok, so now little Sylvia is cleaned off and has room to do the dang thing til end of season.

Move to the backyard, and find one of my Blue Dreams (one of the Femtastic Five, the one i broke a branch off two weekends ago while mowing, and made into a clone and it lived) with these “blackberry seed” looking poop piles from a WORM i’m positive of it from seeing pics online. The bud site they were on the big fan leaves of is the biggest and stickiest bud on that plant so far (and i mean STICKY!!! like fly paper, lol). I took the scissor tips and carefully “prodded” throughout that entire bud and don’t think a worm was in it unless it’s in the STALK or something already but couldn’t find an entry anywhere below the bud so unless it went IN the bud then IN the stalk i think it left residency and just POOPED on those leaves after eating. Have Cpt Jacks on the way anyway still from the other day so they’re GOING to get sprayed THOROUGHLY again either way. Not wanting to lose THAT also. Two HUGE plants now, were dudes but they were bag seed and it was a known that it was a possibility. Just hate to have to lose more to bugs/rot/mold or something stupid out there.

I’m calling it now that Sylvia is a lady. My male plant grew WAY taller and faster than my ladies have. I’m actually pretty sure one of my other reg seed plants is also a dude because it’s growing the same way. Big, fast, tall. Ugh. But that means the short stout stunted runts are (more than likely) gals and that’s always great news!

11 Sept 2021 Log update#2: Today marked the “test date beginning” of the lighting performance. 200W Barrina full spectrum QB over Olsen twin #1, and BestVA 1500DC Series 195W full spectrum dual chip “blurple” over Olsen #2 to see who finishes them out with nicer density and just general overall better results  Same strain, same environment, same time along in flower, only 5W difference in fixtures.
