Vinegar to enhance germination

I just read about adding 1 tsp of white vinegar per 1 cup of water to enhance germination. Soak for 6 hours than plant.

Has anyone tried this?

No, but i use 3 parts water to 1 part hydrogen peroxide, soak for 8 to 12 hours then plant. 99% seed to harvest rate.

I’ve not heard of vinegar, but i use 4 or 5 drops in a 20ml medicine cup of tap water.

I plant straight into moist soil covered with a dome. 100% germination. 4 to 5 days they break ground.

Vinegar is very acidic. It’s not something you want to be soaking your seeds in.

I was impatient and over nuked the water. all ten seeds exploded, popping their shells instantly.
Never grew tails, sadly.

Alternative to vinegar, gently polish/tumble seed shell?
Shiny seeds look more “healthy”, maybe not a myth.

I do believe I will stick with the tried and true methods.
