Hi guys these girls are about a month old and they are super bushy. Do I need to defoliation?

They could use a haircut. Are u doing any lst?

As @beachglass says you can take some of the big fan leaves away to give light to below…any fan leaves pointing in can be removed too

I have done a little lst this is my first grow
You don’t need to do it all at once. Take a little off every few days. For me it wouldn’t be a concern as they are not flowered just yet. 
The first time I defoliated was when the plant doubled in size and they said maybe get 3 feet tall. Try over 7 feet tall. I played whack-o-mole as I took off nearly 1/3 of the leaves at once. She took it like a champ and produced at 20” plus cola.

Thx for the feed back. I will continue with some lst and see what happens. I’m afraid to take off the wrong leaves and hurt her

You’re at least good to pull off larger leaves the are sweating on each other
