My grow space is very limited, and ideally I would like to intake fresh outdoor air at the top of the tent, and exhaust air from the bottom. This would make my install vastly easier and less expensive.
Any thoughts on or experience with this arrangement?

Not optimal for removing heat from the tent, but if you don’t struggle with temps I don’t see why not.
Welcome to the forum.
Well, there’s lots of factors. Is your outside air always going to be suitable for bringing into your grow environment? You’d have to be in a climate that didn’t have very much of a summer or winter, and the humidity has to be correct as well.
Most of us circulate air from in and out of our grow spaces to the indoors, because it’s much easier to control the above factors.

@Aqualung420 if limited grow space go for it,
if you have a circulation fan going it will spread the air flow anyway, rock on

Great points, @Cap_Ron; I hadn’t thought much about temperature of outside air. I do want to vent to the outside though, and in my setting that will not be difficult. I’m also on a large farm tract so any residual odor outdoors will not be an issue. Thanks!

Thanks @Aussie_123556! Circulation fan is a definite. You’ve made my decision (and life) a bit easier.

@FixerPower, I think the heat will be manageable using LED light. If not, I can reverse the system with vent hose. I’d just prefer to keep it tidy-er than that. Thanks!
