Veg longer or flip to flower?

I

have four different photoperiods. Two purple kushs, a gelato, and cheese plants. Should I flip to flower now or still continue to veg??? I want a decent yield and I’m not quite sure first grow ever. And all the plants were topped a week ago.

Personality I’d give them at least another week at least. What size tent are you in?

I’m just not sure how much they grow in flower and I don’t want them to literally grow out of it.

They’ll roughly double by the end of stretch. I think you’ve still got some time with 4 in a 3x3.

@imSICKkid is running a thread right now where he plans to get a pound out of a 3x3. I’m sure he could offer more insight.

So personally would it be better to just veg them another two weeks or so?? That would in fact help guarantee a better yield right since they would be better developed?

Welcome to the forum great people around to help you!

Typically most growers let the girls veg for 8 to 10 weeks to maximize the efforts. I’d let her go for another 4 to 5 weeks.

Looks like you have mostly indica dominate strains so they shouldnt stretch too much. I’d let them ride for a couple more weeks at least

@Drizzy6500 welcome to the forum!! You have a lot of great advise here. I just switch my girls to 12/12 at 10 weeks. Let us know if you need anything else! Nice grow!:v:

I have an interesting ? I have 3 blue cheese that r 9 weeks old. They are in 3 gallon pots and are 5 ft tall roots are starting to come out of the pots. My question is can I transplant them successfully or leave them be.They seem healthy enough but I’m afraid of shocking them. Also can I bring them in under lights to finish them. This is for security reasons as they are no longer inconspicuous. They are beginning to flower thanks

@Owayne welcome to the community! Do you have pictures? They are 9 weeks since sprout of 9 weeks into flower? Any pics? It would help give us a better guage of how to answer. Also are the autos or photos?

I’d veg them another month and transplant up to 5 or 7 gal fabric pots, let them get stretch their roots for a week and then flower. Will give you a nice big harvest.

Just did some light defoliation on all the plants to expose all prime bud sites. Then preceded to water the plants with a PH of 6.5. They’re are doing good so far. They were planted directly in soil July 14th and I topped all the plants on August 9th. So personally to everyone out there. When would you guys throw them into flower???

Welcome to the forum! I will start off by saying however long a grower chooses to Veg their plants is a personal choice depending on what the grower wants in terms of yield. If you are planning on doing any LST on them than you can up your yields all while still working within your space limitations. Judging by the picture’s you have posted and what you have said about topping them you could easily go another 4 weeks than flip IF you start training them now especially since you have recently topped them they are going to bush out if you topped them.

Yeah I want to try to get the biggest yield but I hear that sometimes a plant may double in size. And since I have 4 plants in a 3x3 space. I don’t want them to suffocate each other. But yeah I definitely wanted to veg as long as I possible can to use the full extent of my tent. And thank you. This forum is awesome

Plenty of room left in that tent! @Hellraiser said it best! Listen to any and ALL help from him as I and MANY other’s do as well! You have came to the right place just don’t hesitate to ask if I can’t help I probably know who can but TBH if you read hellraiser’s journal’s you will not be disappointed by the result’s I sure was not!

Don’t be afraid of suffocating them, I vegged these 4 girls for almost 12 weeks before kicking into flowering (I have a 7 foot tall tent though) Plants that are topped won’t double in height. I always go for at least a 8 week veg with topped plants. Get’s me over a pound every time.
