Is it best to use natural light, i.e. near a window, or a brightly lit room? While looking at the trichomes under natural lighting, I barely see any amber, so I trust that it’s the better ambient lighting to use, even though that’s a bummer, lol. It seems that ambient lighting shouldn’t matter, but it seems that it does?
I’ve never really noticed type of lighting matter much. Maybe your trichomes just aren’t ripe enough yet?

I just go with the light that is on the microscope i have. It is adjustable lighting from off to brightest but any setting trics all look the same just brighter or dimmer. If there is amber in the trics u will def see it. If most trics look like glass that a good possibility why u dont see amber yet is because they r not ripe enough yet. Is it a hand held or like a usb kind?? If u can share some pics pop them up here and ull get opinions. Good luck
