Do you think it would be okay to use an evaporative swamp cooler in a hot, dry, climate for indoor marijuana plants? I’m using a flood-and-drain hydroponic system for the plants.
You could alleviate your heat problems in your marijuana grow room with a swamp cooler. These coolers work by taking the hot dry air through a wet pad. The water then evaporates which cools and humidifies the air. Swamp coolers cost the same as running a fan (instead of using air conditioners). The swamp cooler will be more effective with drier air, so you should ventilate the space to avoid having any excessive humidity.
