A customer has a question and I hope we can get some opinions on it, thanks.
"First set of five seeds were soaked in distilled water for 24 hours in temperature controlled box a 77 degrees Fahrenheit. Then placed in jiffy peat pellets 14 days no sprouting. All seeds floated none of them would sink in the water during initial 24 hour soaking.
Second set of five seeds were soaked in tap water for 24 hours in temperature controlled box a 77 degrees Fahrenheit. Then placed in jiffy peat pellets 16 days no sprouting. All seeds floated none of them would sink in the water during initial 24 hour soaking.
Third set of five seeds are currently soaking in distilled water in temperature controlled box at 77 degrees Fahrenheit . time elapsed 48 hours, they have sunk to the bottom of the cup. no signs of a tail yet. how long should I soak them? These will be planted in potting soil instead of peat pellets.

You need to remove them from water after 24 hours. After I pull them from water I use the paper towels method and I keep there just enough for them to grow a little tail after that i put them in Jiffy tabs (1/4 dep)
And this is how paper towels work
Interested to know if ILGM honoured their no germination policy with you. I have 13 seeds that will not germinate. Very happy with the 7 that did, but would like to get at least 5 to replace.
