Twin seed sprouted this morning

I started 2 seeds out in water and then transferred them to paper towel method. When I looked this morning one of my seeds had two tap roots. I have twin plants. Would you separate or grow them out?

Good morning I would not separate for fear of damaging them both and be left with nothing. Let them grow. JMHO :v: :slightly_smiling_face:

You’re probably right

Sounds like you have twins on your hands.

If you get 2 sprouts after you have put them in soil, then crop the weaker of the 2. It’s not a good idea to have 2 plants in 1 pot as the root systems will become entangled and they compete for water and nutrients.

Before culling one, I would attempt to separate if possible… I also don’t know if you have enough room for the extra. Every situation is different.

You know what they say…Pictures or it didn’t happen!

If it’s 2 heads from 1 stem underground why not just consider it ‘topped’ on its own and train them in different directions?

I wouldn’t try to split them, let them grow together. Think how big the plant could get with basically 2 root systems feeding it! Split it and they will probably both die.

But very cool, haven’t seen that before.

Here’s a update
