As many of you know getting a microscope to stay still while holding it is a HUGE challenge. Every little movement of the hand is magnified 10,000 fold. The following is a fool proof way of getting clear pictures and takes the frustration out of this task!
The mic boom is a good idea. I finally started clipping small portions off and laying on a white piece of paper. That works well as long as you don’t mind losing tiny portions of your crops.
Nice. I got this unit from Jerry Riggs Engineering, Inc:
Bottom of a sheet music stand, top of a guitar stand, with a CD jewel case taped down, add some tape to the guitar stand top to prevent twist, and voila, she worked!
I want to add a don’t do… don’t get a flexible neck microphone stand, I bought this one and with the flexible end when you try to set it up it springs back a little this makes setting it up for the shot pretty hard.
I’ve had it a year or so but it hasn’t been used that much. It does work better than my hands it’s just harder to setup. I’ll try bending it all around I didn’t think of breaking it in thanks
