I’m writing to ask about transplanting a root bound plant that is well into grow/bud stage. I’ve brought her out door from under inside light, she loves it. My question is, is it better to let her finish off as is or transplant?
My avatar pic was in a five gallon pot. Almost half way through she turned yellow and started dropping leaves on her own. My cousin noticed the pot she was in and suggested a transplant. It was a big plant. I put it in a seven gallon and fed her good and it started growing fast again and I ended up with 5.5 ounces on her.
As a sidebar…I have four plants in the garden beside my house (in the GROUND…not in pots.)
I realize now, even though they are already starting to bud up, that they are only getting about 2 - 3 hours of direct sunlight per day.
Should I risk digging one or more up with a shovel and transplanting in another spot off my property where I know they would get 6-8 hours of sun per day?
The season’s coming to an end here in Southern Ontario; I’d hate to see immature plants (like my Tomatoes always do) getting hit by frost before producing max yield.
