Hello there growers and stoners. I’m hoping that I’ve topped my plant properly but I’m a little bit unsure as it’s my 1st plant so i need some advice if someone could help Ile be very grateful!!! She’s a Critical strain around 2 months old and still only around 8 inches tall she’s getting quite bushy and appears 2 be vegging well enough considering she didn’t have the best start in life. Anyway I topped her after the 6th internode. A nice clean cut with a razor blade however there was 2 tiny leaves each side of the main head of leaves which I chopped off. Should I have chopped them off as well or is that where the 2 new storks will appear? I only done it last night and her wound seems to have healed up ok I’m just a bit worried about her and wondering if I should have chopped them off as well? Please can someone advice me I would be greatfull for any help and information. Thanks and happy growing…

Those 2 side leaves will turn into stems / new branches.

@TommyBahama thanks 4 that pic, from what I can see i done it just as it shows you how to so hopefully she will get a lot more bushy soon and eventually more bud sites, I can’t wait !!!
I may have misread, but it sounds like you cut the beginnings of the secondary stalks also. I topped this one last night. Is this what you ended up with? (Other than more nodes on yours)
I forgot to mention, if you look closely you can still see the new leaf growth on either side of the main stalk.
Hello there @AloysiusDevadanderAbercrombie thanks for showing me your little 1, yes it looks like that but there are little baby leaves each side of the main new growth and it was only the main new growth I chopped off and not the baby leaves at each side so I hope she will be ok!!!
Ah. I think I did misread then. Sounds like you got it. Topping is stressful the first few times, but these are resilient plants. They can take a lot of abuse.
