Can I or should I top my AK47 Autos?

You can. Most growers wait til the 4th or 5th nodes appear, then go back down to the 3rd or 2nd. Better earlier than later with autos.

I prefer a larger bush I top 8 or 9 nodes

I dont see many autos that make it to 8 nodes before flowering starts.
But then I quit growing them. Too finicky.

Yes I topped all my autos, luckily veg time worked out for me, but I quit doing autos also. I quit because of the crappie bud structure with autos.

If you like to train and prune your plants then photos are the only way. For me, that is the fun part.
