Top colas of my marijuana plants are ready but the rest is not

A question from a fellow grower:

This is only my second grow and this time around I have 18 gorgeous plants and I want to get it right. Just a few details… I grow in dirt with nutrients added regularly and I use high output fluorescents within inches of the tops. Here’s my question. It seems like the center colas are very near harvest (THC on leaves is turning amber) but nothing else looks ready, can I cut the center cola and leave the rest of the plant go until it looks like the center did?

Yes you can cut the buds off as they become ready and leave the others to ripen up.

Just make sure to leave as much foliage as possible, as this draws the nutrients up the stem to the flowers. They don;t call 'em sucker leaves for nothing!
